We are taking our annual fashion show to the internet.
Let’s Get Digital!
This year, we can’t organize in person the same way we did before. We can still find ways to collaborate safely by utilizing tools of the digital era. A challenge we accept. We want to see what designers and artists have been making in this uniquely strange time; whether that art is angry, ugly, beautiful, soft, or anything in-between.
How does it work, you ask? Great question.
★ AVANT Party Packs. The Party Packs are designed to provide you with the tools you need to get footage of your designs. These packages will include a camera, an instruction manual, a thumb drive of tutorials, methods of sanitization, and other useful items! The package will arrive at your front door, and it will be in your possession for 48 hours. Then, you will ship it to the next designer using a prepaid shipping label.
★ Before you get your package in the mail, we will meet with you over FaceTime to understand your unique situation/artistic vision and help game-plan your 48 hours!
★ We will connect you with other applicants in your area, and you can decide whether you want to collaborate or find other methods of filming your work. If there aren’t any artists in your city, we can brainstorm other ways to long-distance collaborate.
★ Safety first! We require anyone who meets up in person to wear a mask, and we never suggest meeting up with more than four people. We also recommend shooting outdoors if possible.
★ That’s it! Once we collect everyone’s footage, we will compile it in video format and stream the Runway Experience for the world to see!
